Haul: Just some random books

Slika
Hey readers! I've been around some bookstores these days and of course I bought some books. I couldn't help myself. What can I say in my defense, I'm a bookworm. Firstly, I've bought a book by Ildefonso Falcones , a spanish author of historical novels. I've first read his book Cathedral of the Sea and now I've decided to read another book of his. It's called The Hand of Fatima and it's about a man who falls in love with this muslim girl called Fatima, their love is, of course, forbidden. Then I've bought two books frome the series Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I've taken the first two books: Daughter of Smoke and Blood and Days of Blood and Starlight. It's a science fiction trilogy about a girl, who gets involved in a world of angels and demons. I can't wait to start reading this books, although I have pretty stuffed my "to read" list. Love,

My year 2016 in books

Slika
Hello readers! Long time no see. I've been busy with university, so now I'm writing my "2016 reading review". This year has been very different for me, a lot of changes, good and bad things had happened, but at least I had books! At the beginning of the year, I've decided to start   2016 Goodreads reading challenge and I was determined to finish it. My goal was 30 books in one year and I've achieved that goal! I love Goodreads because you can track books you've already read, books you want to read, books you own and you can rate and review them. You can also find new friends and follow your bookworm friends for exchanging reviews. You can see my progress here: I've also read a few books twice like: After by Anna Todd An Ideal Husband by Wilde The Diamond as big as the Ritz by Fitzgerald Anna Karenina by Tolstoy a slovenian book Ločil bom peno od valov by Lainšček. For 2017 Goodreads reading challenge I've also p...

Haul: Harry Potter coloring book

Slika
Hey guys! I was surfing on Book Depository 3 weeks ago and found myself a Christmas present :) Because I am under a lot of stress lately and I read about how coloring can help to reduce it, I bought myself an adult coloring book with Harry Potter Magical Creatures theme. The pictures inside are AMAZING. At the end of the book there are also fully colored pictures so you can compare or just get help from them. I started coloring the first picture and I can say that when you color, you forget about everything and just the picture matters. It's really fascinating. You can always look on  their Bargain Shop  where the prices are insanely low. The shipping is free worldwide! Patrisha

Review: A beautiful wedding by Jamie McGuire

Slika
Hey guys! Finally I've succeeded to read a book in this 2 months of university. I've been so buried in work and studying I didn't even get a chance to start a new book. So I finished a "lighter" book, a story of Travis and Abby's wedding, which isn't described in A Beautiful Disaster series. The author describes their adventure in Vegas after they'd escaped town after the fire. Travis and Abby get married, firstly because Travis's alibi, but they also do it because they are in love. After their marriage, married couple flies home and on their first anniversary, they renew their vows on another wedding on St. Thomas island. Although Travis and Abby is very young (still a teenager), I still think their marriage is too soon. Their relationship lasted only 6 months before marriage, which is a very short time. For me the relationship should last at least 5 years no matter how in love the couple is. But Travis and Abby's love is very special an...

Amnesty International: Write for rights!

Slika
Hello guys :) December is my favourite month, of course because of all the festive spirit. I'm always very excited, I also read Christmas books, watch Christmas movies and stuff that we Christmas fans are supposed to do. But this month is also very important for human rights; 10. of December is a Human Rights Day. So today I won't be writing about books, but something that is also very important to me. I'm also a volunteer at Slovenian branch of Amnesty International and every year in december we are writing appeals for those whose human rights have been violated. The aim of writing is quantity of letters, which are sent to politicians, ministers or presidents to stop violating some person's human rights. This year we have: Annie from Malawi, who is being chased because of albinism  Ivo from Camerun , who's in jail because of sending sarcastic text Snowden from USA, whose pardon is wanted Johan from Indonesia, who is jailed because of raising a flag Ere...

Review: Beneath this Man and This Man Confessed

Slika
Hey readers :) I've been reading this books for sooo long, because I had to return them to library in the middle, because I didn't read them in time. But I finally made it. The story of Jesse and Ava continues, it's full of ups and downs, their relationship is stormy and passionate. They both make mistakes and make eachother crazy. But the main event is their wedding and Ava's pregnancy. She is very angry that Jesse was hiding her pills so she would get pregnant and never leave him again, but this was a mistake. Ava is pissed of and Jesse finds out that this wasn't really good idea. Besides her pregnancy and Jesse's overreacting there is also someone that wants to hurt Jesse with hurting Ava. Who is putting Ava in constant life danger? The other two books are amazing just as the first book of This Man series, all the events are described perfectly. Their love story is too perfect on the beginning, but then we're starting to see inperfections in their...

Bookstore Haul: A little bit more serious books

Slika
Hey guys! Yesterday I was shopping with my friend and as always we ended up in our favourite bookstore Felix. And of course after rounds between book shelfs, I bought two books: The Gift of Travel  and Coelho's Fifth Mountain. For the whole summer after my final exams at high school, I've been reading just the "light" literature, and I wanted to start reading more books about life, personal growth and spirituality. I feel the need to fill myself with new "food" form my brain to process and to develop my thoughts, to broaden my horizons. I really like to travel, so I'm very excited to read the first book, The Gift of Travel, which is a book made up of a number of different travel journals from different authors. I can't wait to read this book. I'm also very spiritual person, my thoughts like to develop different questions and theories about living life, the influence of the universe, balance in our life and of course karma. Paulo Coelho h...
