Lea Jerančič- Preko vseh meja

Slika
Zdravo!

How do we experience love?

Slika
Hey everyone!  This is not really a typical blog post, just some of my thoughts, but let's try :) I decided to talk about love, because I've witnessed so many unreal and toxic relationships or just real love at the wrong place at the wrong time. And that bothers me, why can't there be just love and everything is perfect from that moment on? Nowdays, in this "new age" era people don't even know what love is, or I better say they now exactly what love is, but they don't want to have "problems" with it.  Some people say: "Oh my god, I'm so in love with this person, but I can't get into a relationship because I don't want to have problems." Wait a second, if you don't want to have problems you are not in love with this person. You just want to have a quick romance, because you are lonely. This is not love.  But does love even exist? We all know what love feels like, butterflies, heart beating and stuff. But is it r...

Hey people! Another movie review, yes I know. I actually love movies and series as much as I love books. So the next movie review is about the new movie Beauty and the Beast (2017). The movie is based on Disney's fairytale by de Beaumont. There is an animated movie from 1991. The movie is about a girl named Belle who lives in a village with her father, one day he goes to the market and missed the route. Suddenly he got to a castle where he wanted to hide from the storm. On his way back he took a rose for Belle and the beast from the castle locked him up. Belle comes after him and finds her dad in jail, besides is a terrifying Beast. She changes places with her dad and days go by. Her father wants to save her and tells everything to local "knight". Nobody believes him, meanwhile Belle gets closer to this Beast. She finds out he was a prince, who was selfish like his father so a witch casted a spell on him and he became the Beast. They fall in love and after the local k...

Movie review: Tempestad

Hey peeps! As you know I'm a volunteer at Amnesty International and I got to see one of the movies on the Festival of documentary film 2017, that compete for an award for human rights. Tempestad by Tatiana Huezo (2016) The story is about two different women in Mexico, that had been the victims of the country and cartels. Miriam was arrested with her other colleagues in her job at the airport, because they were accused of trafficking with people. But she didn't do it, the government just needed somebody to accuse. She was transferred to prison run by Cartel, but it wasn't really a prison, more like a torturing hotel without any bars. She got out after 8 months for the lack of evidence. She felt stigmatized and she lives in fear ever since. The other woman Adela has a marvelous family that works in a circus. Her daughter was abducted by people that worked with the police. They sold her forward. Adela and her family were threatened to stop searching, but the family stil...

Haul: Just some random books

Hey readers! I've been around some bookstores these days and of course I bought some books. I couldn't help myself. What can I say in my defense, I'm a bookworm. Firstly, I've bought a book by Ildefonso Falcones , a spanish author of historical novels. I've first read his book Cathedral of the Sea and now I've decided to read another book of his. It's called The Hand of Fatima and it's about a man who falls in love with this muslim girl called Fatima, their love is, of course, forbidden. Then I've bought two books frome the series Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I've taken the first two books: Daughter of Smoke and Blood and Days of Blood and Starlight. It's a science fiction trilogy about a girl, who gets involved in a world of angels and demons. I can't wait to start reading this books, although I have pretty stuffed my "to read" list. Love,
