Review: Beneath this Man and This Man Confessed

Slika
Hey readers :) I've been reading this books for sooo long, because I had to return them to library in the middle, because I didn't read them in time. But I finally made it. The story of Jesse and Ava continues, it's full of ups and downs, their relationship is stormy and passionate. They both make mistakes and make eachother crazy. But the main event is their wedding and Ava's pregnancy. She is very angry that Jesse was hiding her pills so she would get pregnant and never leave him again, but this was a mistake. Ava is pissed of and Jesse finds out that this wasn't really good idea. Besides her pregnancy and Jesse's overreacting there is also someone that wants to hurt Jesse with hurting Ava. Who is putting Ava in constant life danger? The other two books are amazing just as the first book of This Man series, all the events are described perfectly. Their love story is too perfect on the beginning, but then we're starting to see inperfections in their...

Bookstore Haul: A little bit more serious books

Slika
Hey guys! Yesterday I was shopping with my friend and as always we ended up in our favourite bookstore Felix. And of course after rounds between book shelfs, I bought two books: The Gift of Travel  and Coelho's Fifth Mountain. For the whole summer after my final exams at high school, I've been reading just the "light" literature, and I wanted to start reading more books about life, personal growth and spirituality. I feel the need to fill myself with new "food" form my brain to process and to develop my thoughts, to broaden my horizons. I really like to travel, so I'm very excited to read the first book, The Gift of Travel, which is a book made up of a number of different travel journals from different authors. I can't wait to read this book. I'm also very spiritual person, my thoughts like to develop different questions and theories about living life, the influence of the universe, balance in our life and of course karma. Paulo Coelho h...

My new Magic Planner

Slika
Hey readers :) This year I got my Magic Planner and I was absolutely in love with it so I got another one for next year. I've been following Magic Planner on Facebook an Instagram for a long time and when I saw their post about cleaning their warehouse supplies and they are giving away planners for free. And I said: "Why not?", and I ordered one. And when it finally came I fell in love with it. Planner has a lot of functions, a basic calendar and what I love the most; weekly quotes, weekly and monthly goals, weekly to-buy and workout lists and so on. On the beginning you describe your life and what do you want to acheive, wish list, some shopping and travel lists, monthly income and spending list. At the end is something that fascinates me the most. You evaluate your self growth, achievements and good things that happened to you in one year. I also got a cute motivation card that is now on my wall that reminds me about happiness. This is my planner till the end ...

Review: The Wish List

Slika
Hello readers! I've started with school and I don't have much time for reading anymore, but I've finished Jane Costello's The Wish List. I bought it in our local bookstore Felix, my favourite. The book is about Emma Reiss, a woman who is about to turn thirty in a few months. One day she finds a wish list, that she and her friends had written in their youth. The Wish List should be completed before she turns thirty, so she decides to make everything happen before her birthday. Her love life is a mess, she isn't happy with her job, although she has a very good salary and she loves doing it. When her life turns upside down because of her list, she finds out that she didn't really want to change her job and that her boyfriend Rob is too perfect for her. But she meets Matt, an interesting neighbour that makes her heart skip a beat. At the end she is very happy with her finished list, but is it enough for her happiness? The book is very well-written, I laugh...

Review: One night promised

Slika
Hello people :) Lately I've been obsessed with Jodi Ellen Malpas's books, so I started another series of hers. I've been really obsessed with romantic novels this past weeks, so this book was right for me. Livy is a normal woman in her mid-twenties and hasn't had a normal social life, because she had been caring for her her grandmother. She started working in the coffee shop and she met a man, who was a walking God. He offers her a one night stand and she is so enchanted by his perfection. Everything is perfect until she finds out that Miller is a male escort, women are paying him for sex. And because she fell in love with him and she is devastated and depressed. What will she do next? Will she let him back into his life or will she get over him? The One Night series is very similar to This Man series, a man is perfect and their relationship is passionate and whirlwind. But again the man is too perfect and unreal, which is actually okay with me. But if I look at t...

Hello people! I've bought this Jenny Colgan's book a few months ago in my favourite bookstore Felix, and I've decided to read it while I was waiting for the second book of This Man trilogy. I really love Colgan's romantic novels with a little bit of humor, so I read this book with pleasure. Posy is getting married with her fitness boyfriend Matt, but she thinks he isn't right for her. Marriage scares her and she thinks she didn't get over all of her exes. She decides to find all her 3 exes and confront them to see if she still loves them or not. She decides to visit all of them and her fiance' gets angry and cancells the engagement after their horrible engagement party.  Her first boyfriend from college moved to the North of Scotland, on some Viking island with new girlfriend. The second one, wild Adam is divorced and still crazy, Posy finds out that she never really loved him. So the last breakup was the worst, she didn't get over Almaric and she th...

Review: The Giver

Slika
Hello readers! So I've had this book at home for over a year now, but I just wasn't ready to start reading it. So this summer I started reading the whole The Giver Quartet, but so far I've only read the first part. I've seen the movie 2 years ago so I knew what was the book about. This science-fiction young adult novel is about the future civilisation that has everything ordered by rules and obligations. Each individual has his job, assignment and a schedule. Their world is without colors, wether and emotions, but they have a man that knows all this. The Giver carries all the memories from the past, from "our" world and he is a little bit old so he needs to pass his memories to a younger Giver. Jonas is in the middle of his training when he finds out that "releasing" the older citizens and other "unsuitable subjects" is actually killing them. He saves his little brother Gabriel from getting killed, because he wasnt developing fast enoug...
